The 1st Children's Hospital's annual distribution of our Skip the Scout bears and Baby Stars were presented to over 60 Children and babies in the Children’s Hospital prior to Christmas.

We would like to thank our team of lead volunteers who meet each Thursday through the year providing programmes for the patients from birth to 18 in the 8 Wards of the Hospital.

The bears carry our Group name tape on their leg or tummy, so that once patients become well and return home they hopefully will join their local group.

Since our registration in 2007 over 7000 young people have been to our Scout evenings at the Children’s Hospital.

We could not do it without the support of our Scout District, Trudie and Anna in the Hospital Volunteer office, the many Bear knitters especially our new friends from the Oaks Church knit and natter group in Dronfield plus the ladies who sew on our group name tape in Sheffield. If you would like to support in knitting any bears please email adcscouts.hallam@gmail.com.

On behalf of the young patients in Hospital at this time and their families do have a Happy festive time and thank you from the District to all the leaders at the 1st Scout Group for the amazing work they do within the Hospital.
